Clear all filtersThe cold front on the 17th of December intensified as it moved into central Utah, bringing heavy snowfall to the southern Wasatch Front after it had bypassed the northern Wasatch Front. Storm total snowfall from this area included 13 inches in Woodland Hills, 11 inches in Mapleton, and 10 inches in Springville.
NOAA record 424144 ↗Storm totals for the southern Wasatch Front in this 3-day event included 12 inches of snow in Springville, 12 inches in Suncrest, and 11 inches of snow in Pleasant Grove. In addition, significant tree damage occurred across the area, with the worst of the damage in the Provo area. Several of these downed tree limbs hit power lines, causing temporary power outages across the area.
