A sudden downburst from a thunderstorm produced flash flooding down the gorges of the hills on the west side of Aurora. The water soon filled the canals that go through town. The canal bank broke in 3 places, causing the State road department to be called out to repair the damage. The Denmark Wash overflowed a road leading to some homes, and flooded some farmyards. No injuries or damage was report
Heavy rains in the Duchesne area caused some flash flooding. Several yards had water 1-3 feet deep in spots. Spotter reports of 1.46 inches and 1.15 inches in 55 minutes were received.
Heavy rains along portions of the Wasatch Front, with .58 inches in 25 minutes in Cottonwood. Storm totals were 1.31 inches at Parleys Summit, 1.10 inches at Brighton, .98 inches at Alta, and .87 inches in Holladay.
Heavy rains in the Henry Mountains caused the Bull Creek to overflow its banks near Hanksville. Some basements were flooded near the creek, and even the Mayor's yard on the south end of town got flooded.
Near Duchesne, 1.05 inches of rain fell in 30 minutes, producing flash flooding. Water ran over the south bound lanes of State Route 191 just southwest of Duchesne.
Thunderstorms with brief heavy rain produced some minor flash flooding near the visitor's center at Capitol Reef National Park. Water in a nearby creek rose 3 feet, but no damage occurred. Bryce Canyon received .95 inches of rain during a thunderstorm.
Heavy rain later caused problems in Big Cottonwood Canyon. The runoff caused the main roadway to be undermined. This forced a 9 hour closure of the road well into the night.
Heavy rain fell in this 40 minute time span in the Sugar House area. Street flooding caused a low portion of Interstate-80 near 1300 East to temporarily close. Other minor street flooding occurred in the area. A spotter in Sugar House measured 1.24" of rain in this 40 minute time span.

Where NOAA lists a wind speed in knots we show it in miles per hour; everything else is verbatim.
Locations are NOAA's own county and National Weather Service forecast-zone names, which is why you will see both Salt Lake and Wasatch Mountains South of I-80. A storm not listed here was not necessarily absent — it means NOAA has no recorded report for it, which is common for isolated hail.
