    A small tornado touched down near State Route 28 between Levan and Yuba Lake in Juab County. A UHP Trooper reported that the width was 100 feet, and that it stayed on the ground for one minute, picking up rocks and shrubs before dissipating.

    A line of severe thunderstorms blew threw much of Tooele County, kicking up a wall of dust and producing severe wind gusts all along the Mesonet. As the line approached the Grantsville area, it overturned 3 semi-trailer trucks on Interstate 15.

    Severe thunderstorms blew through Weber County from South Ogden to Liberty, producing damaging winds, hail and heavy rain. Trees were reported down on a home and cars in Ogden, along with basement flooding of homes and some businesses. Trees in Liberty were toppled, with .83 inches of rain reported in 10 minutes.

    A mother and father were killed and their 3 children injured after being hit by lightning near Crystal Lake in the Uinta Mountains. The family had taken shelter from the thunderstorm under a tree when the lightning struck the tree.

    Strong thunderstorm winds knocked down trees and knocked out power in the Tremonton area. The wind storm also threw a large trampoline over 100 yards from a residents home before dropping it in an empty field. No injuries were reported.

    A microburst from a thunderstorm produced estimated wind gusts as high as 80 mph (70 kts) at Bullfrog Marina, whipping up the waves on the bay. A mesonet site nearby recorded a gust of 67 mph (58 kts) about an hour earlier.

Where NOAA lists a wind speed in knots we show it in miles per hour; everything else is verbatim.

Locations are NOAA's own county and National Weather Service forecast-zone names, which is why you will see both Salt Lake and Wasatch Mountains South of I-80. A storm not listed here was not necessarily absent β€” it means NOAA has no recorded report for it, which is common for isolated hail.
