One of them, a 39-year-old male, triggered an avalanche, which caught, carried, and buried him several feet deep in snow. Locations are NOAA's own county and National Weather Service forecast-zone names, which is why you will see both Salt Lake and Wasatch Mountains South of I-80. A storm not listed here was not necessarily absent — it means NOAA has no recorded report for it, which is common for isolated hail.
