Thunderstorms moving through Duchesne County spawned a funnel cloud near the town of Fruitland. Brief heavy rain and small hail also fell from the storms.
NOAA record 5379919 βSevere thunderstorms along a cold front blew through Utah County, tearing down tree limbs, blowing shingles off roofs and flipping over a trampoline. Springville reported a gust to 69 mph (60 kts) and Provo BYU recorded a gust to 62 mph (54 kts).
NOAA record 5380194 βEvery entry comes from the NOAA / NCEI Storm Events Database, the federal record of severe weather in the United States. We reproduce it here filtered to Utah and made searchable β we do not edit, add to, or interpret the records. Where NOAA lists a wind speed in knots we show it in miles per hour; everything else is verbatim.
Locations are NOAA's own county and National Weather Service forecast-zone names, which is why you will see both Salt Lake and Wasatch Mountains South of I-80. A storm not listed here was not necessarily absent β it means NOAA has no recorded report for it, which is common for isolated hail.
